I realize that this is a long time coming, but I waited, and waited, for Jared to do this post since he was the one who did most of the work. (I helped with the paint and cleaning up, but Jared did most of the labor – with some help from family.) But since Jared was content with his Twitter post, I’ve finally taken things into my own hands.
We put the final things in place in July – and tada! – we now have our main bathroom for use again. No more does Timothy need to trudge through our room to use the master bath in the middle of the night. And guests and visitors no longer have to feel like they’re intruding just to use the restroom. It’s a beautiful thing.
I know it’s not the best angle, (it’s not the largest bathroom in the world) but you can see our new vanity, the toilet (whose seal was the problem that started this 18-month-renovation), and the lovely tile. It’s not much, but I am thankful for it.
The only thing I want to change is the light fixture (which I purposefully kept out of the picture). After reassembling the bathroom, we realized how dated it looks, especially compared to our new faucet and vanity. So that will be my next project, which hopefully won’t take me as long to do.
