I Just Couldn’t Take it Anymore

I have never liked the out-of-date, ugly, floral print wallpaper in our entry. It’s bugged me from day one, but there’s always been something more important to do. Recently our baby gate tore a small hole in the paper. That was reason enough to begin tearing it off the wall.  Marydalene had me wait before I got further to take an almost before picture.

This is the first upholstered piece of furniture we have purchased where color was one of our deciding factors. It’s a beautiful green color. We are going to paint the entry to match the chair and paint the living room in a coordinating color. We are, hopefully, getting Julianne’s help in choosing the colors. We are going to need to replace the carpet eventually. I’m not terribly fond of its color either.

I think the entry looks much better without the wallpaper up. I still need to get the paper residue off before we can paint, but I’m pretty excited to see it in a lovely shade of green.

  1. Good by sweet country look - here come clean and modern! Anxious to see the shades of green you choose.

  2. I've been afraid of COLOR on the walls. I sure am liking them now - even the "almost charcoal" in our master bath. (Don't tell Richard I'm tempted to take down the wallpaper in the hall bath and paint.) Will look forward to the new and improved entryway.
